Bank of Montreal C.O.R.E Protected Deposit Notes

What is a Protected Deposit Note?

A Protected Deposit Note (PDN), also known as a linked deposit note, is an investment that combines some of the best properties of principal guaranteed products and equity products. PDNs give investors the peace of mind of knowing that their principal is guaranteed if the PDN is held to maturity, but it also allows investors to participate in investments that have higher capital appreciation potential. These products are therefore ideally suited for individuals who desire the capital appreciation potential of equity securities but need the capital protection characteristics of a guaranteed investment.
